Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
