It's tough for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the record chasers, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the pitchers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It is hard for their batters to maintain a record if not provided the opportunity.

If this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Certain people claim the case for final game tension. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was much more difficult to predict.

"An opportunity to go out there and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself that way, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

When she was removed her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the assurance to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, should it happen, we are confident we can achieve it."

That comment will be the last Australia's opponents at this World Cup want to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

It was at that stage they exited last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.
